2021 National Student 安全 Survey

In 2016, the Australian Human Rights Commission conducted a national, independent survey of Australian university students to gain greater insights into the nature, prevalence and reporting of sexual assault and sexual harassment at Australian universities. The findings of that survey, known as the Change the Course Report, can be found 在这里.

The Social 研究 Centre was funded to conduct the next national survey on students’ perceptions of safety at Australian universities and experiences relating to sexual harassment and sexual assault. The 2021 National Student 安全 Survey (、普通) ran from 2021年9月6日星期一 to 10月3日周日 2021, with University students from across Australia - including 10,000 Monash students - randomly invited to participate in the survey.

The findings of the survey will help to better understand the context in which these behaviours occur, understand help seeking and reporting behaviours, and inform universities’ services and responses for student safety and wellbeing.
